Jennifer H. Sipple (formerly Jennifer Holmes) is a piano technician based in Longmont, CO. She earned her BA in Music from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, in 2007. In 2011, she was recognized by the Piano Technicians Guild as a Registered Piano Technician, after completing written, tuning, and technical exams. In 2012, she graduated from the Advanced Piano Technology program at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA. She moved to CO in 2014, and is a member of the Boulder Chapter of the PTG.
Between 2006 and 2013, Jennifer worked under respected technicians reviving many fine instruments. While a student at NBSS, she helped to restore a 1905 Mason & Hamlin BB belonging to Boston's Old South Church. Jennifer has always had music at the center of her life and piano as part of her identity. She began lessons at age 7, and though she has played many other instruments, the piano has remained her steady companion. Through practice, recitals, choral accompaniment, and songwriting, Jennifer has developed a deep connection to this instrument. Becoming a piano technician has allowed her to know pianos inside and out, leading to an appreciation of all they are capable of.
